Breaking dawn is a book written by Stephenie Meyer.  It is so far the last book in the Twilight series.
Breaking dawn is about a woman, Bella Swan who falls in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen. In this book, Bella Swan fights against the environment around her which is forcing her not to have a baby with Edward who she is in love with. Let alone have a baby, the environment around her doesn’t even want her to marry the guy she loves.
This book shows that one should never lose hope no matter how bad the situation is. In the beginning of this book, I was very confused about what was going on as I hadn’t read the first three books. In the middle of the book, everything started making sense and the more I read the more it made sense. When I realized what was happening in the book, I got very emotional as usual whenever I read books. Whenever there was something sad or depressing going on I would start crying and not even realize till my mom would ask what was wrong. I still remember the time Bella was giving birth to a half vampire-half human child and it could have killed her if Edward wouldn’t have turned her into a vampire at the right moment. It was very painful for her, and I could tell that by the powerful words and also by the tears just running down my face.
I like the way Stephenie Meyer has a unique power for every character in the story, for example, Edward Cullen can read minds and Bella Swan who later on becomes Bella Cullen, becomes a shield after turning into a vampire.  A person who is a shield can protect their people by expanding the shield to as far as possible. Any weapons used on the people inside the shield wouldn’t work because it bounces of the shield as soon as it touches it. No one can read their minds.  Not even Edward Cullen could read his own wife’s mind. The shield can have holes in it but you need to know exactly where the holes are in order to break the shield. Stephenie Meyer did a lot of foreshadowing in this book. I tried to predict the future at times but it wouldn’t always turn out like I expected it to. I think the author uses an equal amount of dialogue and narration, which is quite impressive to me because it is very hard to balance both at the same time. I personally can’t do that.
This book is divided into chapters but it is also divided into books. There are four books in a book. The book first talks and explains a little about “Twilight”, the first book in the series. Then, the book talks about “New Moon” which is the second book. Then, the third book “Eclipse.” At last, “Breaking Dawn” which is the book I read. I like the way the book is divided into really long chapters. I also really like the way the author first briefly talks about the first three books then starts the real book story so you’re not completely lost. You know what’s going on.
One of the reasons why I picked up this book was because it is the “International Number One Bestseller.” Another reason why I picked it up was because of its cover. It sort of caught my eye and I really wanted to read it from a long time. The reason the cover caught my eye was because it had chess on it and I had just learned chess when I saw that book so I was tempted to read it. The book has many different covers but I only found the one with the chess game on it and I liked it.
